Who we are

Troqueer and Caerlaverock Church is a congregation of the Church of Scotland in Dumfries.

We are a group of people of all ages who are discovering together how to follow Jesus today. We want to connect with God, one another and the communities around us. We would love to welcome you if you’re looking for a church or you’re wondering what church is like and are curious about following Jesus.

What to Expect

Sunday Mornings

We meet at 11am to worship together in Troqueer. On the first Sunday of the month there is also a service at our Caerlaverock location at 9.45am. Don’t worry about what to wear at our services! All ages are welcome, and we love having children around. There will be music, activities for children, space for prayer and an opportunity to hear from the Bible. Our times together aim to be encouraging and uplifting. There’s tea and coffee afterwards – a chance to catch up, chat and get to know people better.

Sunday Evenings

We meet at 6.30pm in Troqueer Church Centre (behind the church) on a 4-weekly basis: Pray Together, Worship Together, Faith Stories (where someone shares their own story), Eat Together (a meal followed by a short service). These services are more intimate or maybe relaxed? in nature, with room to listen or participate as you prefer.

Vibe: "Whether you have a deep faith, a lot of questions, or just need a quiet place to sit, you are welcome here.

You can expect a friendly, informal environment at our services.
